LogiVille

An immersive room that lets visitors step into the future of logistics instead of just hearing about it.

Introduction

LogiVille is Belgium’s logistics innovation hub, the place where automation, digitalisation and sustainability come together. For CILO, we built an immersive room there: a 15-minute journey about circular logistics, told with 180° projection, sound, light and sensors.

At yondr we made it together with Ocular, from the first brainstorm to the final production. I was responsible for the 3D visuals: the environments and animations that carry the story and show what each decision does to the world around you.

The challenge

Everyone agrees logistics is smart and essential, but for most people it stays abstract. The room had to make topics like reuse, recycling and circular supply chains feel concrete, without dumbing them down, and spark curiosity in everyone from students to CEOs.

The experience

Visitors stand in front of a 180° projection, with sound and light all around them. Coloured zones on the floor are the answer buttons: second-hand, new or not sure. Sensors read where people stand, and that decides the choice. Every choice changes what happens next on screen, so the story reacts in real time instead of playing out a fixed sequence.

My part: the 3D visuals

I built the environments and animations that carry the story. A globe wrapped in archive photos shows how trade grew. Mountains of waste stretch across the whole wall. A single T-shirt multiplies into a full collection. And a circular port, where wind turbines, factories and ships work together, shows a better way to move goods and materials.

Every scene had to work at 180°, so it stays readable from wherever you stand while still filling your view.

Opening day

At the opening, partners from the sector were the first to step inside. Since then the room keeps sparking conversations: companies use it to think about the future, schools use it to get young people excited about logistics, and visitors leave with a new view on the sector.
